Charts & Systems

The Western mind often does not know how to evaluate something unless there is a way to chart or feel control over the topic.

We think we need to track something, explain something, put parameters around something…in order to PROVE that we understand.

Our charts and systems are not always the way ideas work,

so they’re going to be inconsistent.

That doesn’t necessarily make the charts “wrong.” It just means that the charts are attempting the impossible. They can be helpful. They can carry an idea to a context that would not normally allow such a thing.

But it’s not everything. It’s not the fullness of the idea.

And that’s ok.

And it’s also ok to not have a chart or system.

The idea or concept can simply be in the space where it is, doing what it does, without a chart or systematic explanation.
